S.T.R.C. is:

The program is 4 part including:
•A non-aerobic exercise program specifically geared to address the problems shared by those with Cervical Dystonia, or S.T. You will leave the clinic with a blueprint for recovery, but you will adapt the exercise program to your own abilty and pace. The Director began with 2 little exercises and no weights and managed to recover. A 66 year old former client wouldn't use any weights while at the clinic, used 2 soup cans instead and wouldn't do any of the gym work, but she has graduated to 5 lb. weights and has come into recovery at her own pace - so this program can be as easy or challanging as you want it to be.
•Nutritional suggestions designed to hasten and maintain recovery
•The famous S.T.R.C. backrub which you will learn how to do for yourself
•Attitudinal work and the application of scriptural principles to encourage the recovery process

What are the advantages of this program over other modalities of treatment?
Probably the biggest plus is that it sets you free to care for yourself, without being dependent upon anyone to administer continuous and expensive treatments. You will leave the clinic with your blueprint for the recovery process, and once into a state of ongoing recovery, you are then able to maintain on your own. This becomes your program and puts you in charge of your own life and health. A second and comforting advantage is that, in all the years this clinic has been in operation, not one client has been hurt or injured on the program; it's healthy, effective and risk-free.

Spend 4 days in lovely Santa Fe, NM (Tuesday through Friday) at S.T.R.C.'s attractive contemporary facility and learn the recovery process from someone who spent 8 awful years in the belly of the S.T. whale, and then, with God's help, developed a program, recovered and, since 1986, has been helping others to overcome and lead a normal life. The clinic takes one or two clients at a time. An attempt is made to pair clients that will be compatible. There will be clients who will need to be seen on a one to one basis, and a sensitive consideration will be made of each applicant. Any client who would prefer to be seen alone, rather than sharing his or her week may do so; simply mention that request on your application. You will be given a Program Guide detailing the specific program you will need to follow during the months ahead. This program does not produce a "cure" as there is, as yet, no cure for S.T., and it does not result in a remission, but rather it enables you to achieve an ongoing recovery via the exercise program, which will need to be maintained in order to live symptom-free. Recovery takes time, however it is possible, via this program, to minimize and even eliminate the symptoms. I had S.T. for 24 years, 8 of those being chronic and crippling. It took 2 years to achieve recovery, and I am now straight, normal, pain free, drug-free and lead a full and active life. I want to share this with others who suffer as I did - thus the formation of S.T.R.C. Due to the miracle of cyberspace, S.T.R.C. went international in 1997. most states have been represented, in addition to clients from over 18 countries. Although S.T.R.C. is undergirded by a Christian world view, S.T'rs of many faiths have attended the clinic, including: Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, New Age and agnostic/atheist. This clinic was, I believe, born of God to reach out to and help all those who suffer with S.T., regardless of race or faith. God loves us all!
